Baby Boo's First Boo!

I am so excited to announce my first illustration project in quite some time. Baby Boo's First Boo by Raven K. Woods is a sweet, colorful children's picture book of a baby ghost's first Halloween available on Amazon and Kindle. It's almost Halloween and Baby Boo can't seem to scare a thing. What's a Baby to do? For children, ages one to four.

30 Day Drawing Challenge - Day 1: Favorite Pet

Getting back into the habit of creating everyday has proven to be somewhat of a challenge. Not one to be out done, I came across a 30 day drawing challenge on Pinterest and thought this is an awesome idea to get warmed up and back to where I used to be.

Day 1: Favorite Pet I Had My Fancy goldfish Cleo. I don't currently have any pets but thinking back of the times that I did, Cleo was the best! A little rusty, but tomorrow will be better.

WIP (Work in Progress): It's MY Birthday

My birthday is March 8th and I'm always such a brat. I LOVE birthdays even when it's not my own (sometimes). Especially the cake. Gifts are nice, having people around me that love me is even greater, but for me, there is nothing like celebrating and loving myself. I do this everyday, but birthdays are meant  to put a little extra on it.

For my birthday this year, I did a sketch of a girl celebrating her 8th birthday. I'm just now getting around to working on it but I'm still excited just the same to see how it turns out. Let's go!

About The Kid in the Cloud

As a child, I was often accused of being "in my own little world," as I would daydream and play by myself for hours. "She has her head in the clouds again," I'd often hear them say. Now, as an adult, I realize that "my own little world" wasn't such a bad place to be. I could be anyone or anywhere I dreamed of in my imagination. When I'm "in my own little world" I can find that child inside and truly enjoy the creative process of making art.
